2 New Handguns Hitting The Market that I’m Ready to Try!
I always love it when firearm manufacturers come out with new product!
I am always interested to see what new innovation that they will and can come up with. Two handguns recently announced by Springfield Armory and by Smith and Wesson have me particularly intrigued.
First up, the Springfield Armory 1911 EMP .40 CAL!

I have always liked the EMP line from Springfield. Their 9mm 1911 EMP is a great little piece for self-defense and EDC. (Every day carry) The way it feels and carries is rarely matched by other firearms in my opinion.
The new 1911 EMP is chambered in .40 cal, and is basically the same design as it’s 9mm predecessor.
Here is what Springfield tells us:
“The EMP® line captured audiences with ideal concealed carry proportions in a slim single-stack design, silky-smooth short action, and enhanced ergonomic features. This series is set apart from the competition by the reduced dimensions of the grip frame. Due to it being designed originally around the 9mm cartridge, Springfield’s engineers were able to reduce the diameter and front-to-rear dimensions of the grip frame by 0.26 and 0.14 inches, respectively. This is immediately evident when you pick up an EMP®, especially when you factor in the extra-thin G-10 grip panels.” (Read More)
The Springfield Armory 1911 EMP .40 retails for around $1300.00!!
