My first experience with Trijicon products was in the service. The ACOG on my M4 was a God Send, and most definitely made me a better shooter.

Don’t get me wrong. i can nail the target at 500 meters open sight with nothing but my zeroed in iron sights, but my ACOG made things a lot easier on me.

So, when I heard about the VCOG (Variable Combat Optical Gunsight) from Trijicon, needless to say I was more than a little curious. My curiosity was sated and happiness was achieved too. It took some time for me to get my hands on one, but I finally did. The VCOG 1-6×24 mm meets the demands of duty, hunting and competitive shooting, while allowing shooters the flexibility to engage both CQB targets and even long distance targets at the maximum effective range of a service rifle.

The first thing I really liked about the VCOG, was the fact that it doesn’t need scope rings mounted to my rifle. The second was that I didn’t need any head or stock position changes throughout the magnification range.

Mount it, zero it, and you’re good to go!

Waterproof up to 20 meters, the scope is filled with dry nitrogen which eliminates fog. The integrated dial fin allows for rapid magnification adjustments through all the magnification settings.

The Dual purpose reticle allows for quick and accurate range estimates. Only requiring a single AA battery, the illuminated reticle has adjustable brightness settings.

Made from forged 7075-T6  Aircraft aluminum, the housing is nearly indestructible and is tested to MIL-STD-810G standards. Multi-coated lenses prevent light transmission and have near perfect clarity.

Rugged, versatile and practical, the VCOG is worth the investment for any firearm enthusiast, operator, LEO or hunter.
